Skeletal adjustment - Acupuncture - Massage - Repatterning
What can I expect during
a treatment?
A session, or balance, lasts approximately 1 to 1 hour 15 minutes. During the first session a detailed personal history is taken so the practitioner has a clear idea of the problem/s and gives you the opportunity to ask questions. Using a combination of observation, discussion, muscle testing and palpation (touch) the practitioner will gather further information about the current state of your body before applying a combination of techniques according to your needs.
It is not unusual to feel different straight away, although some people feel the changes over the few days following a treatment. Some people feel tired whilst other have a boost of energy post-therapy. It is always recommended that you drink plenty of water following a treatment to keep the body well hydrated.
Why would I choose Integrated Physical Therapy?
Because it works! Both Amatsu Therapy and Acupuncture treat your whole body, not just the symptoms. Amatsu is comprised of a number of different techniques such as massage, corrective manipulation, mobilisation, re-patterning and cranial balancing which can be used in various combinations to suit each client’s needs. The therapy offered also incorporates Traditional and modern Acupuncture techniques which may utilise Acupuncture, Acupressure, Cupping, Moxibustion, TENS methods, Visceral and Lymphatic Massage and Diet and Lifestyle advice.
Your body has an amazing ability to regain its own health. However, stresses of life can damage or distort your natural patterns leading to poor health in whatever form. Integrated Physical Therapy supports and encourages the natural abilities of your body, since it rarely forces a correction, but leads the body towards a prompt healthy solution. Regaining natural, healthy patterns is the aim of every treatment session by restoring balance and producing wholeness within your body. Amatsu is a Traditional Japanese therapy initially taught to just three westerners by Professor Masaaki Hatsumi. Chris Roworth, Dennis Bartram, William Doolan. They brought Amatsu Traditional Japanese Medicine to the UK and passed on their knowledge by training other practitioners. The standard for Traditional Japanese Medicine, Amatsu and Acupuncture is set by criteria governed by the Institute for Complementary Medicine.

You have many different systems,
all of which need to work together
to give you the health you want. These fit into five main categories:
Physical – Your structure, bones, muscles, ligaments, etc.
Electrical - Your nervous system and energy systems.
Chemical – Your hormones, digestive system, the food you eat.
Mental – Your nervous and
Physiological systems.
Environmental – Where, when and how you do what you do.
None of these catagories work in isolation. Integrated Physical Therapy works by treating the whole body, so all the elements work better together to regain health, function and balance.
